Our Commitment

Dabisa Consulting (Pty) Ltd is committed to making its website and digital information reasonably accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technologies.

We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing responsibility and not a once-off exercise.

Accessibility Standard

Our target is to design, develop and maintain the website in substantial alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, Level AA, where reasonably practicable.

This target is intended to guide our work relating to:

  • keyboard access;

  • screen-reader compatibility;

  • text alternatives for meaningful images;

  • readable colour contrast;

  • clear headings and page structure;

  • properly labelled form fields;

  • visible keyboard focus;

  • understandable links and instructions;

  • captions or transcripts for relevant video content;

  • scalable text and responsive layouts; and

  • accessible downloadable documents.

The website has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not currently claim formal or complete conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Measures We Are Taking

Dabisa’s accessibility measures include or are intended to include:

  • considering accessibility when creating or updating website pages;

  • using descriptive headings and link text;

  • adding alternative text to meaningful images;

  • reviewing colour contrast and text readability;

  • supporting keyboard navigation;

  • providing labels and instructions for forms;

  • avoiding content that unnecessarily flashes or moves;

  • improving captions, transcripts and descriptions for multimedia;

  • reviewing PDFs and downloadable resources for accessibility;

  • testing key journeys using automated tools and manual checks;

  • considering accessibility when selecting third-party website components; and

  • addressing accessibility feedback as part of website maintenance.

Areas Under Review

Certain parts of the website or older content may not yet fully meet our accessibility target.

Areas requiring continued assessment may include:

  • older images that may have incomplete alternative text;

  • videos that may not yet include captions or transcripts;

  • downloadable PDFs, reports or technical documents;

  • third-party embeds, social-media content or external widgets;

  • form validation and error messages;

  • keyboard navigation through menus, pop-ups or interactive components;

  • colour contrast in certain design elements;

  • repeated or unclear navigation labels;

  • technical BIM diagrams and complex visual information; and

  • content created before the current accessibility process was introduced.

Where a technical diagram, dashboard or model cannot reasonably be made fully accessible in its original format, we will consider providing a text description, data extract, accessible summary or reasonable alternative on request.

Browser and Assistive-Technology Compatibility

The website is intended to work with current versions of commonly used browsers and operating systems.

 

Performance may be reduced when using:

  • unsupported or significantly outdated browsers;

  • older assistive technologies;

  • browser extensions that materially change page behaviour; or

  • third-party content outside Dabisa’s control.

Users should, where reasonably possible, use current browser and assistive-technology versions.

Third-Party Content

Some content or functionality may be provided by third parties, including website-hosting tools, embedded videos, social-media platforms, analytics tools and document-viewing services.

Dabisa may not control the accessibility of every third-party component. We will nevertheless consider accessibility when selecting and configuring these services and will provide an alternative where reasonably possible.

Should you experience difficulty accessing any part of the website, require assistance completing a form or need information in another reasonably accessible format, please contact us.

  • the page or document concerned;

  • a description of the problem;

  • the browser or assistive technology used; and

  • the alternative format or assistance required.

Nothing in this statement limits any rights available under applicable South African equality, consumer-protection or anti-discrimination law.

Assessment and Review

This statement and the website’s accessibility should be reviewed:

  • at least annually;

  • after a major website redesign;

  • when significant new functionality is introduced;

  • after material accessibility feedback; and

  • when relevant standards or legal requirements change.
